So I drove to Ikea
in lovely sunshine, although it was very breezy. Picked up the chest of drawers and drove home in the sun with the breeze. My next job was to dismantle the old wardrobe and stick the bits in the car, for onward transmission tomorrow. Said wardrobe was duly dismanted (read smashed apart with a hammer) and I put the bits into the garden so that i could then break them up into boot size chunks.
The skies darken and I am caught in a short downpour - there's nothing I can do but get wet; the CD player is in the boot of the car and I have learnt from previous experience that putting wet things in the boot causes it to play up. Ten minutes of smashing and I finally get the last bit in the boot, after drying them with a towel. I'm drenched. And then the sun comes out again
