Just received this at work - I get all sorts of emergency warning stuff  noooo:

Severe Weather Warning

The Met Office have issue an advisory of Severe Weather.

I get these too, lots of warning. They usually read something like

"This warning was issued at 1517hr's 16.07.09 and is valid from 1518 to 2200hr's 16.07.09"

Lots of time to prepare then  noooo:
LiFe - It's an "F" in lie

Try a tumble drier rather than a forecast, it works every time. whistle:

Washer/dryers = NBG
Tumble Dryers = Too Bloody expensive to operate (with five in the household we do at least one washing machine load every day) because they take hours to dry even half a washing machine load and will not hold a full washer load.
Launderette is cheapest option as they usually have a spin dryer to remove the surplus water that a domestic washer will leave behind (ours is 1500rpm spin) before you use the tumble dryer. Also their Tumble dryers are bigger and hold at least two machine loads of washing.

Alternatively buy more clothes.

Simples  ;)

Mrs S#2 and I spent a lot of time in our bedsit years at an all night laundrette in Temple Fortune (for those South of the River that's just along the Finchley Road from Golders Green). We went there at night because it was (a) warmer than our bedsit (b) usually pretty empty (tho' I have had some seriously interesting conversations with other night owls) (c) there was an all night bagel bakery about 150 yards up the road where we could also get breakfast (d) we worked shifts and sleeping was often difficult (e) a local Rasta was always there on a Monday night with some seriously good smokables that he was happy to share.

Haven't got one of they - I am deprived  cry:

Neither have I but fret not, you do have a freezer I seem to recall, it may be emptyish due to 'The Brat's' antics and you can freeze dry 'stuff' or so I have been told, don't tell Nick, The Boy or BM otherwise liquid nitrogen may well be involved!

Are you suggesting she freezes all her clothes?  rubschin:

It might have been helpful when Sven was around, but seems a bit impractical otherwise.

Better to microwave them, I think
