I have been clearing the house. 12 large bin bags, 2 wheely bins worth of recycling,  2 dump trips and three large boxes to the charity shop. Actual cleaning and dusting is next week.

Have been dusting and tweeking the cv and scouring the web for jobs.

Today was pedicure and haircut day.

Tomorrow is sign on and waxing.

Weekend is the family gathering.

Not been a terribly happy bunny since getting back. Mother Wench wasn't well the last few days I was there and then we had to put the last dog to sleep just before I came back too. Not a great frame of mind all round so have stayed away lest I bite the head of certain people.  redface:

No you chump ~ Bleeding like a stuck pig.
Pig Sticking was an art perfected by Cavalry regiments stationed in India where the rich Natives took them on wild pig hunting trips. The trick is to gallop on horse back after a wild pig and "stick" it ie spear it with your lance. This form of horsemanship can still be seen at military displays where cavalry officers will ride at full tilt across a field and attempt to spear a cord hoop placed on the ground. One wrong move and the spear (lance) will stick into the ground and the rider will be "vaulted" out of the saddle and could be badly hurt. Necks have been broken attempting this but it a matter of honour among cavalrymen that they can do it.

Sweating like a pig is also an expression because pigs are one of the few animals that visibly sweat as do humans. One could as easily say sweating like a horse as they too sweat visibly but for some reason pigs get the accolade. I expect pigs would say "Sweating like a human" if they could talk.
