Same here.  cloud9:

Well, clear blue sky, and that strange unfamiliar orange ball up there looks as though it might be a bit hot like.

Bigger, darker and greyer than that  evil: evil: evil:

Not happy today

Big argument with The Gruffalo this morning before I even left the house at 6.30 am  noooo:

Only to come in from some email from this stroppy little madam in my team who is talking about her rights to this , that and the other....when I have been extremely sypathethic to her personal circumstances of late, allowed her increased flexibility to work at home , some special leave when her kid was ill etc

Now she has the feckin brass neck to start whining on in her snivelley little acidic voice that she needs compensation as the employer currently pays for her broadband and they are discontinuing this in December.

Everyone else has said fair enough

She has got the union involved and is stating it is a change in her terms and conditions

She can go swivel as far as I am concerned

Ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh    Banghead Banghead Banghead

I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Blowin' a gale and heavy showers of sleety type rain.

THW is on a Geology Field Trip to a local mountain and quarry this morning. The teacher (a keen outdooorsy type of Yorkshire Dalesman who wears shorts and cycles the 8 miles from home to school every single morning and then 8 miles back every evening) was proposing that they walk the two miles from school, climb the 'ill (it's only a tiddler at 989feet), descend into the quarry to examine the strata formations and then reverse the journey back to school ~ in two and a half hours. THW was horrified eeek: then  angry041: then  sad32:

I said that when I was her age I could march all day at 4mph (which is the required rate in the RAF unless on a "forced march" when that steps up to 6mph) angel1

I don't think my comment helped as she left this morning wearing what I can only describe as a mutinous face  evil:

In fact she tried to miss the school bus but SWWLTBO swooped her up, stuffed her in her car and took her.  whistle:

Like I said to her retreating back "Why elect to take a course that will obviously involve hill climbing and quarry delving if you don't want to walk anywhere?"
Answer came there none  point:

Doesn't know how lucky she is.
I'd have loved to have been given the opportunity to have done a course like that when I was a nipper..ish.

I visited a quarry at Grays, Essex when I was a schoolkid - I believe it's now Lakeside shopping centre.
