For the first time EVER, I couldn't get up
me 'ill this morning.

Got up there for 07:30 to avoid the expected

day part time walkers in their trainees, high heels and slippers too.

The car park was totally unusable and unbeleivably dangerous to attempt walking on.
I managed to skirt around it by walking on the frosty grass, but then the main path was just totally and completely covered in sheet ice, and facing in an upwards direction made it impossible to stand on without sliding back down again....or onto yer arse.
Went down to a lower path and just about managed to scamble me way up by walking in amomgst the trees and undergrowth.
A most trechorous experience though, but the plus side of that was that I didn't see a soul for the 2 hour duration other than a fell runner who bid me a very cheery "morning"

Treated meself with a 'full English' at the caf. in the village afterwards.

I feel a repeat coming on tomorrow.

Meanwhile, bloody hot here today.
