Growler would beg to differ  whistle:

Sounds like yer mum is trying to put you off  whistle:

No actually, Growler tends not to exagerate and make a bloody drama out of one or two snowflakes/sleet, actually. ::)
Virtually all gone around here JOM, but we are near the seaside like. Could be a different kettle of best Haddock out in the Cheshire Plains as it is just a mere 23 miles away in the hills of wooley back Wales.

Cold, bright, a beautiful day here

Unfortunately I should be up around Bicester about now heading up to visit family in Cheshire/Manchester. But dear mother rang to say it's been snowing heavily all a.m, and a quick check with the forecasters meant that my plans have been put off till next weekend. C'est la vie  confused:

We've got all this for at least another fortnight....according to the man on the Beeb forecast last night.
We're therefore probably all going to die under mammoth monster unprecedented snowdrifts avalanches and icebergs flowing across our towns villages and cities. ::)
KILLER WINTER   scared2: will be the headlines in the Express next week, mark my words.  whistle:

Better stock up on Mars bars, warm blankets...as opposed to cold ones, shovels, salt, whistles, fully charged up mobbys, and NOT go out unless absolutely and catergorically neccessary...life or death situation like.

FFS, go try living in Alaska for a few days for a REAL taste of a proper winter.
This cuntry is absolutely pathetic. Banghead

South Manchester resident rellies have called off their planned visit to the kennel today on account of their snow. We have only a light dusting that fell at about 5am. It has not cleared despite sunshine and bright blue skies. Dark clouds looming over towards the Wirral.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Are all the usual 'passes' blocked and closed?
Now that is waht a proper wintery area is like.  eveilgrin:
