I used to have a girlfriend like that. She looked okay after 5 pints...It was getting her to drink them though

Mrs TMRBB only had two small white wines.

We are now without lighting - blown fuse thanks to an incorrectly fitted overflow pipe in the bath of the rented house. Water went through and fused the lights in the kitchen - and the entire lighting circuit with it. Bastards.

All this fuss chaos dramatic headlines and bedlum. ::)
HOW did folk cope before the days of gritters, no central heating, no H&S, no Air sea Rescue 'copters, scoooels that didn't close cus of the snow...mine didn't in the monster winter of '63 that made this one look like a bit of cold light drizzle. ::)

Growler, the H&S you mention is most of the problem.

An MP from Swindon asked "where's the Dunkirk spirit" suggesting that every person and shopkeeper should sweep their frontage (steady).

However, if you leave it there's no problem.  Sweep it and somebody slips and your derriere will be sued!
