Mrs S has gone to induct a new course today .... Nobody will show up.
Meanwhile her office has been on the blower. "Can we speak to Mrs S please?"
"No, she is at work, for you lot ....... but you can speak to her either on her mobile or when she gets to your office this afternoon for your scheduled meeting"
"Oww she hasn't gone in this weather surely"
"Yes, tho' she did try to ring you yesterday about the stupidity of trying to start new courses in village halls in this weather but you had all taken the day off"
"Well that's why I'm ringing ..... only it's snowing again and so I'm going home now and won't be here for my meeting with her this afternoon"
"I'll let her know then shall I .... since you seem unable to call her on her mobile and have as usual arranged this course to be in a venue with little heating and no telephones"
The sarcasm clearly missed the daft Welsh bint who thanked me for saving her the trouble and rang off.
