Winter fuel payment goes nowhere against my heating bills and logs are only free if you own the land the bloody trees grow on.

When we moved here heating oil was 16 pence a litre ..... at that price I could even understand Kimmy using it to run her van but the price increase in 9 years has been a colossal 300% (as of today's quoted price) ~ I note that crude oil has come down in price recently ..... so who is pocketing the difference?

Well THAT is seemingly it then. Enjoy the last couple of days of the great nippy summer of 2010. sad32:

From midweek, the Atlantic weather machine will crank up and finally start to deliver strong winds and heavy rain. Western areas will feel the brunt of the gales and wet weather during Thursday and a rapid thaw of the deep mountain snow may bring a threat of flooding to parts of Scotland.

England and Wales are more likely to see the wettest weather on Friday, with a blustery, showery weekend to follow.

Monday 22 March 2010 to Sunday 28 March 2010

Unsettled weather here to stay
