Snow, snow and more snow

6" fell so far tonight, and another 4" is due before first light. HGV's stranded, others jack-knifed, lost the M3 due to an accident, but others are doing worse with M25 closed, M20 closed and by all accounts most county roads will be at a stand-still because they didn't start salting till it was too late.

Roll on 0700hr's when my shift finishes and I shall try to get home

Good luck for the next couple of hours JOM...

Ta BM, nearly on top of it now, we came close to losing it but once the traffic was out of the way we got to work on it, nice to see the CCTV images first showing one lane open, then two, and now three in many places  smile:

No overnight snow here.  razz:

Currently the local "Weather Station" shows 0 deg C and a promise of snow "flurries" later. Forecast is for a balmy 1 deg C today dropping to -7 tonight.

LL has to use the M25 Epsom to Staines on Friday - make sure it is okay for her will you?  ;)

She asked me for snow-driving tips - I said 'first gear and loads of right foot - heavy on the brakes if something goes wrong'... that's right isn't it...?  rubschin:

You forgot to tell her to make sure her tyres are over inflated.

I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Rather you than me JOM.

Light dusting overnight. I'm just far enough north of London to miss the worse of it.

Thanks all, home safe, I handed it all over in good condition, here's hoping they'll do the same tonight when we do it all again

Cup of tea.... or three, then off to bed when the body tells me it's time
