South of London is at a complete standstill.

Friend lives at Banstead, she said they had a foot of snow on Tuesday night, near enough the same last night.

Trams and buses running, trains cancelled just about everywhere.
No waste collection
Every school, library, day centre closed

I live on top of a hill. Apparently there are a lot of cars at the bottom of it  noooo:

I trust you offered to rub some salve into it  whistle:

Meanwhile oop here the sun is just coming over the top of the mountain and shining on the front of the house. No more snow since very early yesterday morning. Roads are pretty clear and buses, railways etc are all running. All schools bar 3, up in the hills, are open. A few miles south of us it is very deep in the valleys of Snowdonia, or so they tell me but so far we have got off lightly.
