No doubt Nick will be along shortly to tell us all that his keyboard is buried under 6' of snow. ::)

Bit of a steady dusting going on 'ere, nowt spectacular like, but no doubt the whole county will shortly be grinding to a panic filled halt.

Tell you, the North Canadians and Scandanavians must be in absolute bulk   happy001 watching and listening to this useless whinging whining panic ridden shit hole of a cuntry of ours.
Bloody shameful we are, shameful. redface:

Gritters have been out in force, and the Highways Agency has issued an amber alert, advising motorists to take extra care and check weather forecasts before they travel.
Bastards, and there was me thinking of driving extra recklessly too. Banghead

Weather experts warned it would be "bitterly cold" in England today, with temperatures likely to remain below zero.

I think the point is that the Canadians, Scandanavians etc are ready for much worse snow falls and lower temperatures than we are. They can almost set their clocks by the annual arrival of cold weather and spend money accordingly on protective clothing, road maintenance etc. In the UK we don't actually get that much snow each year, some years we see none at all, so we never invest in preparations for it to the extent that those countries who know it is going to happen do.
Yes, I agree that the BBC, other media and the weather people get over excited by our bit of snow but then they also get their collective knickers in a twist about droughts whenever the sun shines. Actually they could simply report that our climate is "Temperate" and leave it at that.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Do find it all ironically and almost hysterically amusing though all the same. lol:
The headline news will no doubt be overflowing with interviews of panic laden knob heads later on today.

Meanwhile, just how ar the hostages in Algeria coping today I wonder? ::)
Bet they'd do a swap RIGHT now.

3 - 4" of snow here, still falling heavily and a further 2" expected this afternoon. I have a "fan" approx 200m from my office, you can just make it out in the photo

Apparently all our routes are still open  scared2:

Just back from bowls. Only four of us turned up. Everyone else cried off because of the weather (forecast)  ::)

I blame the media.

Tricky journey into Gatwick today, due in the main to people who simply can't drive properly. Wankers!
