De-icing issues.  The planes that stay overnight (55 easyJets we handle) have a de-icing fluid applied that lasts up to 8 hours.  The big, wet snow that started at 0700 washed it all off and the pilots were not prepared to take off until being re-de-iced. Some even turned around on the taxiways and came back to the stand. Unfortunately,  most of the de-icing crews had gone home by then. 90-120 minutes wait for the remaining crews to get to them.

So WE lose our bonus again...

Surely everyone in that business knew that sleet would mean re-icing.  Suppose they'll try and blame the pilots

I have to choose between freezing to death or the cat maybe shitting in my wardrobe.
