There was a thing on the wireless earlier about a woman that went into Asda or somesuch to have a cake made for her son’s 21st birthday. She took a picture of him as a baby but they refused to print it on the cake because they said it was pornographic…
TBF to Asda they did explain that they have a company policy, from which staff may not deviate, that pictures of naked persons, be they children or adult, may not be "printed" onto their cakes. The staff did offer to either enlarge the picture and crop it appropriately or to place either an
X or some other decoration over the offending portion of the photograph ~ but of course as always the facts should not be allowed to stand in the way of a good story that can take a swipe at political correctness. Personally, had my mother done such a thing with one of my baby photos, I would have crowned her with the cake ~ it's just not funny.
