Watched this last night ? what a complete, utter, utter waste of 132 minutes of my life. It is a movie that is so pointless and bizarre that you just have to watch it to the end to see what ?trick? or ?catch? or ?subtleness? you have missed all the way through.
There is none ? it is shite all the way through.
I?d rather watch 28 Days later ? twice ? than this pile o? crap again.
It is the ?story? of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille (it is set in France) who is born with an intense sense of smell and basically spends the movie murdering women to capture their ?essential oils? by rolling them in fat, boiling the fat (along with their hair) and distilling it.
It is full of stars including Dustin Hoffman and Alan Rickman but they all seem to have lost the ability to act completely ? it is farcical. I don?t know where Dustin Hoffman was told the film was set but his accent was all over the place.
Definitely not recommended ? five puke rating.
