Speke Airport
« on: July 28, 2008, 08:44:27 AM »
Which seems to have morphed into "Liverpool John Lennon Airport" is going to have the pleasure of my company this morning as I am dropping Lil Bruvver there in a couple of hours time to catch his sleezy jet flight to Switzerland.
Since he switched there after some years of flying from, variously, Luton and/or Manchester Ringway I have been pleasantly surprised at the ease of getting in and out of Speke from North Wales by comparison with the others.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

But the parking and dropping off is a bastard  evil:

Piece o' p*ss.
Drove in straight to drop off zone, bruv gets out, takes case his from boot, lights a ciggy ('cos he can't smoke in my car) shouts goodbye (We don't feel the need for kissing and hugging, he is only going for a week) and as he walks across to the terminal I am driving back out again. I am home before his flight takes off, despite having elected to go via Runcorn Bridge but return via one of the tunnels just so I could have a look at all the waterfront redevelopment that I have heard about. I must say they have done a lot in the three years since I last drove along that way. Don't suppose it is more than a facelift really (All fur coat and no drawers etc) but impressive for all that.

Ignore the arrivals  ~ why does it show that the board was updated at 10.29.36 when I logged into the site at 10.26?
