I've been a cricket fan forever. This was taken in 1953. Lil Bruvver aged 3 is facing up to my leg breaks, Grandfather behind the stumps.

Great picture. Could almost be me and my grandfather. Much simpler days.

One attempted murder ~ committed to Broadmoor for life for the attempted murder of his mother and sister with a hammer. Many many cases of a race between the Vicar and the Midwife of course, the odd embezzlement, a Titanic Survivor, a Boer War "Scout" and a sailor who drowned when drunk by falling off the gangplank as he returned to his ship in Dover. All good fun to research but I still get upset about the infant deaths that were such a way of life in Victorian days.

Back to the Olympics...

The march of the athletes has been going on for ages. I feel sorry for the the young cheerleaders lining the circuit. They must feel they've been doing their little dance for ever.
