Tree felling?

All you need is chainsaw and a truck

Nephew ~ referred to earlier ~ does this in Dorset. He has a partner and has "qualified" as a tree specialist
(This is a series of week long and one day courses spread over a number of years at various agricultural colleges).
His declared income is £30k plus per annum from contract work for various councils and does not include the cash for logs on the side.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Bob's your uncle!
Fanny's your Aunt and Dick is your best friend!

As an afterthought ~ Statutory Redundancy is based on average earnings over a period of time prior to the actual redundancy ~ thus it would seem that acceptance of a lower rate of pay could well result in a lower redundancy payment when the time comes.
TG's current employers would seem to have a decent accountant working for them.whistle:

A mate of mine locally owns over 100 houses in Chester for rent to students: net value £10 million. Annual gross rent income? c. £1 million. His "company" makes a loss every year. He gets £7K p.a. tax credit for his daughter on the basis of this loss.

He is worth millions and always drives top of the range cars.

It's the sytem I tells ya. He knows how to exploit it

He is 40 and effectively retired. He collects the rent and pays his idiot brother to do the painting and decorating.

Gorrit made!

Quite. He is a nice guy. No edercashun to speak of, but he knows how the world works. Big gaff in Anglesey too, with a private beach. He also has lots of toys...........

I would hate him, but he is too nice.

It's time the 'system' was dismantled. It's far to open to abuse.

He may be a nice man but has he no scruples?
