This being my line of work i'll say what I think.
I reckon ASD is a bad term to use, I look after, or should I say "protect the public from" a chap who is very violent and has "low functioning autism ", my boy on the other hand has " high functioning autism " or Aspergers Syndrome. Both of them fall into the ASD bracket. To generalise by saying someone has ASD is stupid.
I also think its being used by a lot of parents as an excuse for bad behaviour. Not by me, my son has been clinically diagnosed by a child psychiatrist
