Passwords
« on: August 29, 2008, 08:18:36 AM »
I recently rebuilt a PC that was riddled with malware/spyware (teenage daughter to blame) for somebody from the real pub. Having completed the exercise, I recreated their user accounts and also an admin account. Everything was documented although this was lost within 2 weeks. This morning I get an email saying that they had changed the admin account password and now can't remember it!

They had supposedly written it down but it doesn't work.

Why do I bother?

Which one is that.

I used to have stuff for NT and 2K, but some of it was a bit flakey.

I'll dig it out if you like?

Comes on a CD, boots linux then allows you to reset all the XP passwords...

Let us know what it is and I'll have a look.

haven't had any need for this type of thing for years now, always reset passwords as I controlled the network/domain.
