It did not work!

Could not identify the boot. It saw drives including the only hard drive, but would not let me use it.
I then tried booting without USB, to lose all the memory card drive letters and got stuck as it was a USB keyboard. cussing:

Time for some emails.
Oh dear... it worked well for me...

One thing I have learned when working on a PC, always have a proper plug-in (i.e. not USB) keyboard available... The bastard thing will stop recognising USB devices at the most inopportune moment...

I was working on a customer system yesterday - hit "Esc" to skip the memory check worked fine but then "it any key to boot from CD..." didn't recognise the USB keyboard...  cussing:

Which is why we have on screen keyboards installed no all our work pcs, just in case.
Ah... but that only works once window$ has loaded...  whistle:

It could be worse BM, I had a panicked phone call from a friend who was reinstalling Windows on his machine pleading for help as he couldnt find  the 'any key' was on the keyboard.

Strangely enough, before he left we had the office numpty ringing the IT department because he couldnt find the key. You'd have thought after all the other jokes we'd played on him he'd have learned that we were a bunch of wind up artists.  whistle:

I think that Nick should apply for a software testing job at Microsoft. If they can get something past that level of quality control without farting and falling over then its ready for the public.  whistle:
