Growler
« on: September 08, 2008, 10:36:10 AM »
While I was seaching my 'bookmarks' for the Fantasy F1 site I noted a link to Growler's website. Clicking on it gave me the 'site not found' message.

Anyone know how the old bear is?

I do look out for him. The Swamp never really, um, floated (sadly) and was cleared in the summer. He sometimes appears hereabouts on a bike, but not for a while.  noooo:

Not heard from him in ages. He asked to be left alone ~ I accepted that. Dunno why for sure, someone had upset him I gathered. He did used to look in as a guest occasionally but not for some time now I'm sorry to say.

Shame about the Swamp. If it had been closer to me I think the sprogs would have enjoyed trying a bit of 4x4 (and me)

Indeed. The Swamp was a good idea but there are others not too far away that have been going longer and are presumably better funded. Such things are hard to start up on a budget and even harder to keep going wthout support from the bank ~ as I gathered Growler was also working so not able to give it his undivided attention and prolly lost customers because it could only operate by appointment.

BOO!   whacky007

Just to let you all know that IAM still alive, and am still operating but somewhere else now.

The 'kind gentleman land owner' at Swamp 1  ::) decided he could make more money from growing hay, and flattened the place that me and the nippers worked so hard to get half decent.
It came as a great shock to see all the hard work destroyed, but hey ho, it's his land and he can do with it as he feels fit.
Typical millionaire though. They only think about how they can make more money and stuff the little incidentals such as us entreprauners. (sp)

That's it then. Thanks for the few kind words of your concerns for my well being, but don't worry, I'm just fine and still growling vociferously all day long. lol:

I'll pop in sometime again.

Nick or mods. Do us a favour, and try and photoshop the company name out of the piccy for me please.....bonnet and screen, tar. Probably be an idea to whiten out the front number plate too. ;)
Cloning is rife via reg. plates on display in forums now apparently, and I really don't want anymore GATSO N.I.P. letters thanks. thatsit:

Welcome back!

Nick has no chance of photo shopping the picture without destroying the entire universe so I have removed it...

Growler  cloud9: It hasnt been the same here without your grumpy self old boy.
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.
