I noticed that the same offer doesnt appear to have been given to Labour when they were up in Brum. 

Conservative MPs have been given discount vouchers for a lap dancing club near their party conference venue.

The vouchers, offering a £10 reduction on entry to Birmingham's Rocket Club, were in a booklet sent out to delegates with official conference literature.

The Tories meet later this month at the International Convention Centre, just yards from the club in Broad Street.

A Conservative party spokeswoman said the booklet had been put together by a Birmingham marketing agency.

'Beautiful girls'

The Rocket Club, describes itself as "an exclusive gentlemen's entertainment venue".

Its website says: "On any night we have up to 50 of the world's most beautiful girls from around the world and the dancers that appear on stage are the very best on offer from all over the UK, Europe and the world."

The Conservative Party spokeswoman said the booklet containing the voucher had been put together by Marketing Birmingham.

She said: "It is a booklet full of advertisements to promote Birmingham, not the official conference guide.

"We distributed the booklet with our conference literature."

The voucher is among many special offers in the guide, which also features discount deals for restaurants and leisure facilities in the city.

Ian Taylor, commercial director at Marketing Birmingham, said: "A number of organisations have been working in partnership to support and welcome the Conservative Party conference.

"As part of that effort, the brochure has been produced to help maximise the economic impact for local businesses."

Conservative MP Ann Widdecombe, a former shadow home secretary, told the Sunday Express: "I can hardly believe this is true.

"I know the Conservative Party is supposed to be modernising but do we have to throw every value out of the window?

"Can you imagine what our old ladies are going to make of it if they turn up there by mistake?"
