The radio is NOT now stuck to the rug but does have a lot of blue fluff stuck to it

Perhaps you should report it as stolen and have done with it...  whistle:

Get a magnet and pick the screws up first... then smash a window - from the outside mind - and throw the glue away in next door's bin... and put your wig back on...  point:

It's an heirloom. It has valves.And a walnut case. And it picks up things like "Hilversum" and "Granada"

Radio has not been around long enough to quailify as an heirloom. What it is is a load of old tat that her Father was only too pleased to see the back of, her mother too I wouldn't wonder.
My MiL is currently going through the "You must have this dear" phase of old age. It all goes straight in the bin when it reaches here I can tell you. evil:

It works a bit, but can only get Hilversum for some reason. WTF is Hilversum?
