Sorry ~ but I have no credit cards, I have no overdraft, I have no credit accounts. My mortgage is fixed for its lifetime. So a change in interest rates will make no immediate impact on me. It may ultimately make some things dearer or cheaper but I don't see it making much difference to the economic woes of the moment.

I have 2 questions about this whole plan:

Firstly how much is it going to cost the taxpayer in added taxes?

And secondly, after this was revealed. How can the government justify gambling with billions of pounds of taxpayers money without even making sure that people who are in part responsible for this fiasco have been replaced.

Quote
The Royal Bank of Scotland has said it will not be overhauling its management in return for getting potentially huge sums in public funding. The bank, whose senior executives have been criticised for running up big losses in the past year, said management changes were not "a feature" of its discussions with the Treasury. Earlier, Alistair Darling said changes at RBS were not a precondition of it receiving public money and management issues were a matter for the firm's board and shareholders only

The whole PMQ thing winds me up to piss evaporation point!  cussing:

Half an hour of the comedy channel featuring 266 of the best paid squeezed into the commons for a pathetic display of 'hear hearing' and booing.

And what did they all do after - piss off back to the bar I expect to drink their subsidised booze and ignore no smoking rules that they have enforced on the proles.

Shame on them!

They should all fuck off back to their constituencies and do something useful for once - like picking up rubbish, sweeping the streets or ideally topping themselves.

What a completely useless bunch of c- censored:

The problem is that there is bugger all difference in the political parties now so question time is meaningless apart from those rare occaisions when ain opposition MP has a question about something that directly affects their chances of keeping their seat.

626 actually ~ I can see you are annoyed.

But for mind-numbing boredom did you listen to the "Contenders" for US President last night? Now that was an exercise in sheer bulls hit if ever I heard one. Couldn't sleep which was why I was listening on BBC World Service, couldn't sleep afterwards thinking about the depths to which "democracy" has sunk.  noooo:
