O2 are no longer part of BT, they were forced to hive them off by the competiton commission years ago so Mrs TG should be safe....

....at least I hope so, my PDA is on O2  scared2:

Can't be arsed reading through 14 pages of dross and inane ramblings, so in a nutshell, are Virgin any good, cus I've just received a mail shot inviting me to 2 megathings of broadband and telephone provision line rental thing for a mere 11 snotters a month, which on the face of it looks like a good deal....unless you lot know otherwise.

AOhelL's main computer zappy thingywotsit has crashed 3 times over the last week, (so I only found out last night after I'd rung their 'helpdesk')  leaving me to panic and press everything that exists in this heap of pure and unadulterated piece of electrical turdery.
I've now got to reset everthing back to how it was because of THEM.  cussing:

For Growlers benefit and to save him trawling through 14 pages of sh*te this is what I said earlier.
BTW you will find that the offer you have received is not as good as it looks, there are download limits, the initial offer is time limited and then the price goes up and you are probably tied to an 18 month contract

Why would I want to call them? I'm not daft enough to pay for their non-services. whistle:

I have line rental and broadband from a Telecom Plus subsidiary.
Costs:
Line Rental £8.50 per calendar month (Includes itemised billing)
Broadband (unlimited use) £16.98 per calendar month
Telephone calls at anytime day or night 7 days a week to any UK landline FREE (up to 59 minutes for each individual call ~ if the call takes longer then hang up and redial)
Calls to premium rate numbers and mobiles as per BT charges.
Thus my predictable bill per month is £29.94 inclusive of VAT

My Broadband account serves 1xPC and 4XLaptops with (I repeat) No download limits.

Virgin on the ridiculous to contemplate change methinks whistle:

Just as I suspected Snoop. I won't now bother reading the small print shite.

Far too much competition now imo, resulting in total and utter bafflement for us mere customers.
I reckon you could spend a month off werk reading ALL of the competitors gunge trying to find the best deal, just like the gas and lecky suppliers 'tempting' offers of offering the best and cheapest services.

I am seriously considering moving away into a mud hut in the woods, with just the most basic of facilities for both me and me one eyed snarling dog to enjoy peace and tranquility.  cloud9:

I have everything bt, line, phone, broadband, modem, router that way when something goes wrong they can't pass me round the houses blaming everyone else. They have no choice but to sort me out.

I have everything bt, line, phone, broadband, modem, router that way when something goes wrong they can't pass me round the houses blaming everyone else. They have no choice but to sort me out.

It's a thought and exactly one of the reasons I use only the one supplier for everything telecom connected ~ however when I complain to my provider and they complain to BT they are shouting with the voice of tens of thousands whereas, as far as BT is concerned, you may  be loud when angry041: but you are still only one little customer who spends so little with them that they really don't give a toss.
Additonally and the second reason I use Telecom plus is that BT are dearer by a country mile and money counts around here.
