Ah Virgin Media. Gawd bless 'em.

I am an highly experienced VM user and if I could have been arsed to have read this read properly before now I could have given you lots of helpful advice.

Such as:

Item : VM are the best providers of broadband internet in the UK. Until it goes wrong (which it rarely does) in which case you are royally fucked.

Item : NEVER, EVER use a VM email account. Gmail, yahoo even (god help us) Hotmail are safer. If VM mail goes down you are usually fucked.

Item : If you ring the helpdesk NEVER swear at the operator or you are fucked.

Item : If the operator is useless then politely hang up and ring back. Sooner or later you will get an operator who is prepared to go the extra mile and you may well not be fucked.

Basically, you are fucked.  happy088

NO. They have deleted all my f*cking e mails and my inbound account. For some reason I can still SEND e mails, but why would I do that?

They are IDIOTS

Surely they back up the email server. Cant they just run a restore on their dev environment then port the backed up version over.

Try asking your average VM helpdesk numpty a question like that GM and wait for the crash as the fall off the chair.
