I have one of these that used to be my Fathers. The wireless still works but the turntable doesn't any more.

I'm happy with one of these ~ mind it's a bugger on the Northern Line

A radiogram!  cloud9:

We used to have one... played 78s and everything... sliding doors on the front and the smell of the wood and valves...  cloud9:

Ohhhh Snoops! Beautiful. cloud9: We had one back in the 60's. Absolutely adorable. I used to sit right in front of it listening to the new stereo sound on the Beatles L.P's. Heavenly memories, aghhh. cloud9:

Is that one yours you lucky bugger?

'Fraid not ~ we had one like it but me Dad threw it on the tip when they bought a Pye transistor radio and a Dansette record player ~ said it took up too much room
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

rubschin: Could be the belt drive is worn or the belt stretched. On the other hand and to be totally politically incorrect the little black boy, that my dad said was inside to push the records round, has died of old age.

The rubber has gone brittle on the idler wheel thingy off the motor. It is not important as records are never played in these CD days.

BTW, I removed the turntable assembly, disconnected and reconnected all the wires myself without calling in an electrician.  whistle:

It looked very like an electric hob underneath. . . rubschin:

Well seeing as my little cousin is getting the wii fit for Christmas I couldn't resist picking this up for him, Raving Rabbids TV Party...

Well what kind of big cousin would I be if I didn't buy presents guaranteed to drive his parents round the bend  whistle:

Is there a 'Ken' that tries to stuff banknotes in her thong, before passing out?
