Just got back from a rant

Talking of ignorant bad mannererd employers, it must have been playing on my mind somewhat, as I've just brought a car showroom to a virtual standstill ranting at the sales manager about his arse wipe of a boss who owns the place.
He commented that I don't exactly hold back or sit on the fence, and meekly agreed with me.

If someone stands there and holds a door open for me, I don't just slowly walk past them without so much of at least a nod.
This thick ignorant twat did just that, presumably thinking that I was simply a mear contractor who's simply not worthy of any sort of acknowledgement.
Even a grunt would have sufficed you heathen. Banghead.

Is it any wonder that employees are so down hearted and dispirited in the workplace generally?

THAT Ford garage also has one ignorant animal of an owner too.
He's Scottish, and wouldn't give you the steam off his piss.

He apparently does hate all contractors (such as me  ::) with a very deep and imeasurable passion.
We're all taking part of his many millions apparently, and he doesn't like it.

I think working on the peripherique of the motor trade makes the likes of me very cynical and bad tempered sometimes, hence the reason for letting rip ocassionally.
It does get to you (me). Better than bottlin' it all up though and ending up in hossy like some we know ey? ;)
 
Ask Mrs GROWLER and GROWLERS jnr's for confirmation on that if you don't believe me. ::)

A long time ago (1970ish) I worked for the Bristol Street Motor Group's Ford Main Dealership in Southampton as a salesman. Growler is right about the owners or MDs of these extablishments. Unless you are handing them money they treat you as if you don't exist. When they have to pay you they just can't manage any sort of civility.
Maybe it is something to do with the motor trade itself.

Independents are the way forward providing your car is out of warranty. Even then they can't refuse you a waranty claim (terms and conditions apply  ::) ), providing the car has been properly maintained using genuine FoMoCo parts.

All 'round, a generally better service, substantially lower prices, and a general feeling of being...... 'valued' .....too!!  eeek:
