Gordon Brown is expected to campaign in a by-election on Saturday for the first time since becoming prime minister.
It is understood he will visit the Glenrothes constituency in Fife, which directly borders Mr Brown's own Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath seat.
Meanwhile, Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond and big hitters from the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats will also be trying to win over voters.
Labour will be defending a majority of 10,500 in the poll on 6 November.
In the past Mr Brown has refused to campaign in by-elections in his role as prime minister - but he is expected to break that convention.
SourceThis is interesting...
Gorgon must beleive that they are going to pull this one off (snigger) and win it... He surely wouldn't involve himself in this election if he thought they were going to lose?
I mean, he has loads of excuses - he could say he was too busy saving the world economy, etc. and keep well away from it all?
Please, please,
please let them lose dismally and let Gorgon have egg (or pie) on his face!
