It's all to do with particle size ~ some that you breath in will pass through unhindered but some will lodge in the lungs (Blue asbestos being a prime example. Grey asbestos is a different particle size and thus no danger) Same with some additives in Weathershield paint. I think that some products of that type do recommend a mask and filter to cover mouth and nose.





Pauses whilst some Jackass comes up with a picture of a Lone Ranger mask or a WWII Respirator.
