Okay... I'll fess up...

I've painted all the upstairs and am now onto the stairwell...

Problem is it is a million feet high and semi-circular.

I experimented last week with wedging ladders at various angles but I still couldn't reach all of the top to paint the ceiling...

So, I'm building a wooden platform that will allow me to scale the heights and do all the work like...  cloud9:

Seriously ~ could you not have hired a scaffold tower? They come in various sizes and can cope with variant levels~ working on roofs like I'm surprised you don't have one anyway.

Nope...  noooo:

Explored that one...

a) They don't have Hire Shops here
b) They don't use the stuff
c) The nature of the stairwell makes it unusable

I did find an ex-pat that has a tower but the deign of the stairs makes it impossible to fit it in...
