Little Chef's
« on: October 31, 2008, 09:28:18 AM »
Dropped in to one on the way home from Yawrkshire last night.

Dunno about you lot, but I absolutely luv 'em. cloud9:

Yea, a bit behind the times in terms of decor, buthat is part of the attraction to me though tbh. No loud music and modern plasticy themed shite.
They seem to have got stuck into a 1970's time warp.

Always seem to have friendly staff, and the grub is well happy belly filling fodder.
Prices have crept up a bit, but the coffeee mug (not cup) just keeps on filling up.
Do really nice chocolatey CAKE puddings too. cloud9:

Handfull of free lollipops for the journey home, and I was well happy!

Good aren't they, and grossly underated.
Lick of paint, keep everything in the 'time warp' and bloody well advertise it as such.
Sad to see so many of them struggling against the usual suspects. sad32:

The one we visited had only had one previous customer since 2:30 p.m. apparently and this was 7:30! eeek:

Yes.  ::)

I wasn't specific about whether Little Chef Inc. was raking it it or Fred and Ada who spent their life savings on the franchise.

I mostly despair

Do they still do the Olympic Breakfast?

Yes and yummy it is too.
We always stop at the same one when we go down to Devon & Saddler really looks forward to the Olympic Breakfast.
I couldn't ask for better friends. I could ask for more NORMAL friends, but not better ones.

I love Little Chef! They used to do bottomless tea and endless toast with some breakfasts is that still the case?

When I was a student we used to go for the afternoon. Buy the papers etc and then set up camp eat our breakfast and then order endless tea and toast for at least four hours.  cloud9:
