Most cars threaten to carry five but on closer inspection the one in the middle at the back is sitting on a hump and their feet are spread either side of a "tunnel" in the floor. The Picasso was the only car I found that didn't have these problems. It also has a flat boot. No lip, which is handy when sliding things in or out (cue for Nick to make a comment). All in all it answers all the requirements except that it is an "Old Man's" motor and visibilty is crap. The pillars either side of the windscreen are f'ing huge and there are blindspots. Also I find the seats uncomfortable for a long drive and that despite all the possible adjustments.
Image is hard to define~ one likes to feel that one looks "cool" in TG terms.
Landrover Defender would suit nicely given what I tend to do in the car and where I live but way out of price range.
No. FREELANDER. They're virtually giving them away presently.
Not sure, but it's probably got a transmission tunnel.
C4 Piccaso? Megane Scenic? New one due out soon?
I duuno? Ford bloody Mustang? Lambo Gallarado? Evo X? Double decker bus? Chieftan tank?
Tell us what image you want to portray then ffs man!!
You're ***** old, and you want to look.........COOL?!!
Pimp tint glass all around whatever you decide on.
That's the point you see ~ I don't want to look "Cool" ~ I don't give a toss what other people think I look like. I want to feel "Cool"
OK who, in their heads, actually thinks they look the way the mirror tells them they look. Very few of us are that honest with ourselves. When I get behind the wheel I want to feel like Joe Cool. When I push the pedal down I want a response. Not just speed but a gut feeling that I am MOTORING.
BM ~ You go Off Roading ~ Do you see yourself as you really are or, whilst driving like that, do you not feel a bit excited by it all, out of your usual comfort zone, a bit James Bondish, in other words COOL?
Isn't there a bit of The Fonz in all of us?
Even he still thinks he looks like this
Rather than like this:
