Sorry to belittle your concerns, but this is nothing new, the only difference is that the world can see it all courtesy of the Web, lightly censored TV and mobile phones with cameras.
In the 50's the same protest would have resulted in a quiet arrest for 'drunk and disorderly' followed by a short tumble down the steps to the cells and 4 lines in the Times.
It may actually help 'true liberty' if the folly is visible to the masses.
It was newsreel coverage influencing public opinion that finished the Yanks in Vietnam and can you imagine how long WW1 would have lasted if they had the Somme on Youtube the next day?
