Nina Foch, who died on Friday aged 84, often played cool, calculating women in films, the theatre and television, and coached aspiring actors and director http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/3685382/Nina-Foch.html

Kathleen McFarlane, who has died aged 86, subverted the domestic arts of weaving, tapestry and crochet work to create fantastical and often disturbing images and forms reminiscent of sea monsters, huge fungal growths — and worse. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/3685487/Kathleen-McFarlane.html

Robert Woodward, who has died aged 61, was a co-founder of a London crammer for young people unable to cope with sixth-form life at public schools.
Robert Woodward told his wife Rosemary, with whom he had four children, that he had “finished his education” shortly before he died suddenly on November 4, with a glass of whisky at his side. A man after our own hearts.

Ted Rogers, OC, media mogul, was born on May 27, 1933. He died of congestive heart failure on December 2, 2008, aged 75 http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/obituaries/article5314618.ece

Richard Van Allan, CBE, opera singer, was born on May 28, 1935. He died of lung cancer on December 4, 2008, aged 73  http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/obituaries/article5309150.ece

Beverly Garland, who died on December 5 aged 82, did battle with some of the most ludicrous monsters in cinematic history as the star of 1950s B-movies such as Swamp Women and It Conquered the World. She later went on to play Fred MacMurray's wife in My Three Sons, one of the longest-running situation comedies on American television.

Sir John Wall, CBE, solicitor and judge, was born on June 4, 1930. He died of heart failure on December 1, 2008, aged 78 http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/obituaries/article5320968.ece

Rear-Admiral George Morrison, American naval aviator, was born on January 7, 1919. He died on November 17, 2008, aged 89 (Well he was father of Jim Morrison of The Doors) http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/obituaries/article5321027.ece

ALL OTHERS LISTED TODAY IN THE TELEGRAPH AND THE TIMES TODAY ARE EITHER TOO OLD OR DIED BEFORE THE GAME STARTED.
