I have been baking all day as displacement therapy and I now have pecan in my eye.  sad24:

I never chop pecans. Buy halves for decorating cakes otherwise place in a plastic bag and hit them with a rolling pin. This method works also for walnuts, brazil nuts and hazel nuts.  Better than getting bits in your eyes.  whistle:
