I never chop pecans. Buy halves for decorating cakes otherwise place in a plastic bag and hit them with a rolling pin. This method works also for walnuts, brazil nuts and hazel nuts.  Better than getting bits in your eyes.  whistle:

See, that would have been useful half an hour ago!

I also have lemon juice in various cuts on my hands, have broken a nail and now have to figure out what to do with:

1 victoria sponge
32 choc chip cookies
banana bread
pumpkin loaf
apple bread
12 shortbread biscuits

also have made

1 batch pea and mint soup
1 batch carrot/swede/nutmeg soup
2 batches of meatballs
2 batches of tomato pasta/pizza sauce

When I am bored I cook, when I am depressed I bake. Both at the same time has meant a surplus has built up and a filthy kitchen.

See, that would have been useful half an hour ago!

I also have lemon juice in various cuts on my hands, have broken a nail and now have to figure out what to do with:

1 victoria sponge
32 choc chip cookies
banana bread
pumpkin loaf
apple bread
12 shortbread biscuits

also have made

1 batch pea and mint soup
1 batch carrot/swede/nutmeg soup
2 batches of meatballs
2 batches of tomato pasta/pizza sauce

happy100 Being constructive can be very therapeutic, well done and sorry you need it.

As for what to do with the fruits of your labour:

1 victoria sponge - Place on bird table and enjoy watching the wildlife fun.

32 choc chip cookies - Make very large mug of coffee, half fill with dark rum, drink it slowly while eating cookies

banana bread - See 'bird table'

pumpkin loaf - Soak in Brandy and eat slowly
apple bread - Ditto

12 shortbread biscuits - Sprinkle with extra sugar and eat tomorrow morning with copious black coffee to beat hangover.

Put these in the freezer:

1 batch pea and mint soup
1 batch carrot/swede/nutmeg soup
2 batches of meatballs
2 batches of tomato pasta/pizza sauce

I mostly despair

The items suggested have gone in the freezer, the sponge and cookies have gone to school for the staff room. The shortbread and banana bread have come to work and the pumpkin loaf has gone to my Grandmother's and the apple bread is being eaten at home. Just had a text from Mr Wench saying he is popular in the staff room today.
