If you like John Sargeant there is a show on Dave called Argumental that may appeal to you.

So will the BBC now refund the money that people spent on voting for him? Seeing as he has basically been hounded out by the judges

Best thing I ever saw John Sargeant do was when he was "Handbagged" by Mrs Thatcher in Paris.  lol:

Of course they will, after all the BBC has always been honest when it comes to phone voting....  whistle:

But is this show ~ which I admit I have never seen ~ supposed to be a contest to see who is the most popular "celeb" amongst the viewers or is it to see which "celeb" turns out, after much training by professionals, to be the better dancer?
If it is to see who is most popular of a preselected group of people why bother with the dancing?

If they want it judged purely on their dancing talent then only have the judges vote count. By giving half of the vote to the public then you are opening it up to a popularity contest. However, you can then also argue why pick people like John Sergeant to go on it in the first place? If all you truly want is a dancing contest then only pick people to take part that show some talent in that area.

Funny ~ but I never though John Sergeant was a particularly popular person. Perhaps the others are just unpopular.

I don't think that prior to the programme he was popular. However, his "dancing" has been most entertaining. Also, the judges have laid into him every week basically ensuring him the sympathy vote.

rubschin: Odd what people find entertaining ~ still as me old mum used to say "It would be a dull old world if we all liked the same things"

For instance I found myself watching darts on TV last night for want of something better to do ~ everyone but me was out.

I like the dancing. I used to watch the original strictly when it was just the professionals years ago. It wouldn't matter if I don't know who any of them were.
