With all proceeds going to the Mayor's Fund for London ...I'm sure all of that will be reinvested appropriately  noooo:

Why is Michael Johnson involved in almost every commentary session regardless of whether it is athletics related or not ?  noooo:

Seems we got praise for just about everything we did: Bringing the whole thing in on time and under budget, the volunteers, the forces stepping in to take care of security and impressing so many visitors, the general organisation of everything, the various iconic venues ..... FFS even the weather came right in the end.
Never have I enjoyed two weeks of TV like it. Brilliant job by all ....... even Michael Jordan whose comments I found insightful and informative as well as hugely entertaining. The man knows his subject and only by listening to the best can we learn how to be better.

It's a personal thing but I haven't taken to Michael Johnson . I thought Ian Thorpe was excellent. My favourite though was Foster and Balding - just absolute genuine pleasure to be there and part of it ,  comfortable on camera and inclusive of all. In fact Balding I think did an amazing job and her knowledge of many sports shone through.

I went to the V&A this morning to see the Thomas Heatherwick exhibition. If that doesn't ring any bells then he was the guy that designed the cauldron. Absolute genius, inventive, creative, witty, articulate and lovely bloke. British ingenuity lives on!

Like you, the best two weeks of TV I've ever watched, and certainly the best Olympics I've ever watched, superb effort all round. And to think I was one of the many doubters before it started  redface:

I think the years of doom and gloom preceding this have also meant people have embraced this as an opportunity to celebrate, feel happy about something, and escape from realities . Timing was perfect for that !
