Apparently the useless flame IS going up on the train next Tuesday at 10:00am, but WILL NOT BE VIEWABLE TO THE PUBLIC.
Don't actually know if I should roll on the floor with laughter or scream at the actual real stupidity and ridiculousnous of the situation.

I really do not believe that someone could have actually made this up.

The only logical reason I can therefore come to the conclusion of for its non viewable appearance at the summit, is to set that monstocity of a visitor center on fire.

The "Flame" being carried by runners to the site of the games (i.e "The Torch Relay") was invented by the Nazis for the 1936 Berlin Games.
I can see no reason why anyone in the UK would want to perpetuate that particular "tradition".
