Proxy settings
« on: December 14, 2008, 05:28:44 PM »
Miss Moose is getting well rattled as she can't get on MSM to rabbit to her mates. Been like this for the last few weeks apparently. Can't say I've missed it tbh, load of old todge. ::)

I've just tried getting onto my MSM thing that I rarely use tbh, and the same message comes up.
Check your firewall settings, or go to options and check your proxy settings or summat. confused:
Couldn't find this options thing to check the proxy thing, so deleted the whole MSM and tried to down load it again.
Won't have it, and this poxy proxy fault message has come up again, saying it can't load it because of it.
You lot understand this shite, cus I bloody don't. noooo:

Told Miss Moose to write a letter to her mates a instead.
She was generally unimpressed with that suggestion. Shrugs:

Can't help I am afraid but tell her to use the facebook chat facility as a temporary work around.

Thought I read summat in here many moons ago about it being dodgy, full of weirdos finding out where you live and stuff.

Oh I dunno. It's ALL just shite imo. cussing:
What's wrong with sending an email, letter, or pickin' the bloody phone up ffs?
Hateful. eveilgrin:

We DON'T need this overly complicated crappy chat crap stuff. noooo:

Saves on phonecall costs though. Mother Wench and I use msn webchat as our main form of communication. Facebook is ok, if you treat it with the same degree of caution that you treat any online thing with. Be careful what information you give out, don't friend strangers etc. Failing that google mail also has an integrated chat facility.

The only thing I can think of is that you are aol, they run their own chat facility, think it is called aim, and so quite possibly they will have found a way to stop it working. In the same way as google's browser won't allow you to access hotmail.
