To come to BM's defence I have it on good authority that he IS the master in his house ~ and LL has given him permission to say so.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

The only thing I can think of is that you are aol, they run their own chat facility, think it is called aim, and so quite possibly they will have found a way to stop it working. In the same way as google's browser won't allow you to access hotmail.
