It's sad and hopefully a substantial % survive but there were already too many restaurants here and those two chains were still offering the same proposition with formulaic layouts they'd been offering 20 years before.  It was good grub but we can get good grub at home or from the chippy

And that's what's going to happen, prices will rise, trade will slow and we are looking full square at a deep recession across all the developed countries.  It's a mess.

It's all a bit sad but Wilko has no real identity other than being a 21st century Woolworths and look what happened to them.  They're lost between the Pound Shops, Interweb sellers and the more focussed shops.  They were (well for a few hours are) the only bricks and mortar shop that still sells decent 3 ply  Kleenex:.
