Blue Monday
« on: January 19, 2009, 02:12:13 PM »
It's Blue Monday today  cry:

Psychologists have dubbed it "Blue Monday", a date in January when post-Christmas gloom is at its worst.

It is worked out with a formula taking into account six factors: weather, debt, time since Christmas, time since failing our New Year's resolutions, low motivational levels and the feeling of a need to take action.

Anyone got any reasons to be cheerful?

My smallest is 8 today ~ we had his outing yesterday. 6 boys bowling + a separate comp for the mummies who came. I had to referee both  whistle:. Since I used to work in a bowling alley and none of the mummies had ever done ten pin bowling I was forced to give some yummy mummies personal tuition  eyes:
Then we adjourned to Frankie and Bennies for nosh. Everyone had a jolly good feed, voted it far better than the usual Pizza Hut or McDonald's and I only spent £160 on the whole thing.
Today the little chap has been playing happilly with some very noisy electronic toys but they have now settled down to watch Spiderman2 on DVD (sorry not Bluray) and I can at last get on with the magazine which I have to get to the printer by Wednesday afternoon.
So not Blue Monday for me. Quite a good day really.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

I am still  cloud9:

Particularly since F&B's turned out to be soooooooooooooo good and one Yummy Mummy kept grinding her arse into my lap. I discovered that there is life in the old (hot) dog yet.

No ~ whilst I was standing behind her with my arms round her showing her how to hold a bowling ball and bowl it without hurting her sweet little fingers. cloud9:

I confess that at the fourth attempt to get it right SWWLTBO did catch my eye and raise her eyebrows in a fierce manner. whistle:

Monday is also the most likely day to have a heart attack.

Even more likely if it snows.

I am blue!

My back still aches
It is raining
The house is a tip
Work has picked up
No flights booked anywhere nice
I am still 30
Extended family is pissed off with me

I am blue!

My back still aches
It will get better
It is raining
It will stop
The house is a tip
So?
Work has picked up
Great!
No flights booked anywhere nice
It saves money
I am still 30
Wait long enough and you'll be 31
Extended family is pissed off with me
What do you care what other people think?
