Snowing like heck here now ~ and I have to go out and collect one Cub Scout in about half an hour. Looks like I shall be sliding down the mountain and hoping I'll get back up again afterwards.

4x4 with winch, towing strap and aggresive grizzly off roading mud n snow tyres are here waiting for the call.
Take about 2 months to get to you mind. Slowest car since records bagan. ::)

Made it with no problems. Been driving far too long to do anything stupid (famous last words) but I have done the advanced courses etc over the years and know how to control a skid and all that stuff ~ unlike the twat buried nose first in the hedge at the roadside frantically reving his engine whilst his front wheel drive vehicle dug itself deeper and deeper into the slush and mud.

Discretion being the better part of valour I drove on but feeling guilty did pick up a hitchhiker on the way back and gave him a lift home. Not the same man who was by now standing in the falling snow watching as a local tow truck hauled his car out of the hedge.

I popped up to Wallington earlier and went into the Lidl shop. Empty shelves.
