Our Lidl Toaster has now been going for three years and is in use EVERY morning when it toasts 8 slices (plus of course sundry suppers etc) and it cost ?5.99

Ok Ok I get the message but do I trust it?  rubschin:
What happens to the Windows (Pauses to spit) XP home edition that is already loaded. Does the Linux kill it completely or will it lurk in the background, forever wanting to auto upgrade, correct me and generally p*ss everything else about.
As I understand it Linux is an operating system so if I do "go for it" what happens to XP?
Tell me now or I'll not sleep for worrying about it.

If you download the one i linked to it 'installs' itself and runs from the CD so you can test it!

Then, if you choose to install it on your hard drive it gives you the option of partitioning your disk and having a dual-boot system or erasing the Micro$hite completely and using the whole disk.

Worth a try at the price I'd say...
