Day 6 (will this never end?
)
LL and I had planned another nice day of girly activities with some of her girly friends, shopping, drinking in nice bars, pampering sort of stuff in general. When BM heard about this and that he would be left on his own with chores to do he got all upset, and a bit pink, and asked if he could come along. He looked so pathetic that we said he could as long as he behaved.
What a mistake
LL took us round some of her fave shops looking at bags, strappy sandals, nice hats and stuff like that whilst BM trailed behind looking anguished, especially when asked for money (
) and asking if it was time to go home yet every five minutes. LL gave him several of her best scarey looks, but he kept whimpering. We told him to go off and meet us later, but he seemed reluctant to be left out. I think he just wanted to make sure we weren't spending too much.
In the end we gave him the slip and set off for a lovely place for a boozy lunch and a chance to compare purchases. Then he started calling, so LL turned her phone off. We saw him running up and down the road tearing at his
hair skin but we kept out of sight. After 4 hours LL called him and said we had gone home (we hadn't).
Evidently he got back and realised he had been tricked. LL spent a fortune
I think he is tiring of being outnumbered. When we did get back he was downstairs watching Die Hard on his big TV and yelling ' Go Bruce, shoot them all'.
Poor dear, I imagine he finds it therapeutic
Anyhoo, LL and I have invited the girls round tonight for more chat and wine and stuff and we are making quiche and things we like (I never wish to see or eat another goat). More later
