[serious] Of course this is a sad incident, but I fear that all the do-gooder H&S restrictions (not the claim avoidance sort) are preventing children from learning about the world and having fun as well.
When I was a kid there was always someone with a limb in plaster from jumping/falling off something while at play and there were lasting injuries and indeed tragedies, but on the whole kids learned what hurt and what to avoid.
We are losing all this and breeding fat yobs wrapped in cotton wool. [/serious]
