A fairly charmless man, whose lovelife is barren, desperately tries a dating bar. Seating himself beside an attractive young woman, he diffidently askes if he can buy her a drink.
She replies "Yes, but don't expect anything".
After several rounds, he says, "We seem to be getting along so well, would you care to dine with me?"
She replies, "Yes, but don't expect anything."
After a very animated dinner, emboldened by a bottle of champagne, he says, "I have had so much fun with you. I live just close by. Dare I ask if you would care to come home with me for a nightcap?"
Came the same reply, "Yes, but don't expect anything."
After several drinks and some very promising kissing, containing himself no longer he passionately declared, "I have never had so much fun in my life with such a beautiful woman. I want you for my wife."
She replied, "You sweet silly man. What took you so long?"
